Terms, Refund & Privacy Policy

Each personalized storybook is created on demand — the story is written, the illustrations are generated, and the PDF is assembled specifically for your child's name, photo, and story idea. This process consumes significant AI compute resources the moment your order is placed.

For this reason, all sales are final once book generation has started, which happens immediately after a successful payment is processed.

Exceptions we'll always honor:

• Your payment was charged but no book was created (technical failure on our end)
• You were charged more than once for the same book
• The book was generated but is completely unreadable or blank

We take the privacy of your family seriously. Here is exactly what we collect, how we use it, and when it is deleted.

What we collect

• The child's photo you upload for the book
• The child's first name, age, and gender (used only for the story)
• Your email address (to send you the book and receipt)
• Payment information — processed securely by LemonSqueezy; we never see or store your card details

Photos are deleted after book creation

How we use your data

• Your email is used to deliver your book and receipt — nothing else
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising or marketing without your consent
• Story content and child details are used only to generate your specific book

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Lifebook. Each has their own privacy policy:

• OpenAI — AI story and image generation. Input data (photo, story details) is sent to OpenAI solely to produce your book.
• LemonSqueezy — Payment processing. Your card and billing details go directly to LemonSqueezy; we never see them.
• Resend — Email delivery. Used only to send you your book and order confirmation.
• Supabase — Secure cloud database and file storage, hosted in the EU/US.

Your rights

• You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us
• You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• You may opt out of any future email communications at any time

• Lifebook is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Books are for the private enjoyment of the purchasing family.
• You must own or have the right to use any photo you upload. By uploading a photo, you confirm you have this right.
• Generated books may not be resold, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.
• We reserve the right to refuse service for content that is inappropriate, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Lifebook is not responsible for AI-generated content that may not meet your expectations — each book is unique and results may vary.
• These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
